Upcoming Changes
With another school year coming to an end there will be a couple of changes in our association. The first to affect officials will be the timing of the General Meeting. The meeting will now be held in June instead of October as voted on by the body of the association at the last General Meeting. The date is still being finalized and will be sent out via email. Please make sure your email is correct in the arbiter. Vice President and the Washington County Area Representative will be voted on at the meeting. If you have any questions or are interested in either of these positions contact a member of the board for more information.
The board researched and discussed the qualifications for officials to become post-season eligible in each sport. The requirements of all the associations in the state and from the Utah High School Activities Assocation were gathered and considered. Each sports supervisor was asked to provide a criteria as well. The intent of the board was become more uniform with what is required by the state and to inform officials in each sport what will be needed for post-season eligibilty.
